Pedals, Tubes, Tele, and a Les Paul?
Well I feel I have too many projects hanging over my head. The other night, I decided to just set everything aside and adjust my tone. My pedals have not been set up properly since I moved into the apartment. So I finally set up my Clapton Pedal (alternates between an Acoustic Simulator and a British Amp Modeler), my Behringer V-Tone (set up to give me high-gain rock tones), and my Bad Monkey Overdrive (my tone booster, for sparkly cleans + a little crunch).
While I was doing that, I noticed some buzz from the amp, and it started cutting in and out. The tubes were going. So I called up the good folks at EuroTubes and they sent me a retube kit for my Epiphone Galaxie 10. That was a 5- minute fix, and it improved the sound tremendously!
Then, I figured I would get my Texas Tele back up and running (my dad wants it back), so I finished shaping the nut, and now I have to work on the action. I’ll be adjusting the truss rod with him tonight. . .
. . . And maybe upgrading his Epiphone Les Paul. He wants to convert the black hardware to chrome. Should be fun.
