New Family Member

After participating in a marketing scheme, I was given a free Gibson SG. Fortunately for me, it was drop shipped from Musicians Friend, and I was able to return it. In return, I picked up a beautiful Epiphone Les Paul Flametop and a bunch of other gear, which I'll sell on eBay. The new Epiphone product is much more solid and impressive than I was expecting. It's made of solid mahogany, with a real 3/4" maple cap. Though the pickups leave something to be desired, it's got a great solid feel and resonance.

Tele Neck (Not Strat Neck)

I had wanted to carve a contour in the headstock and overlay it with walnut last time I posted here. Well, when I went to pick up the strat neck, it didn’t fit too nice in the neck pocket, but a tele neck (of course) fit perfectly. So I’m back to the (blah) tele head stock. I did have my dad laminate it with some pretty wild-looking walnut, and I ended up putting on a cream-colored "Spaghetti" Fender logo on it, and sealing it in. Here's a picture of the completed headstock.
